Use sharp secateurs for pruning so that the cuts are clean and straight. Remove any branches that cross over or are rubbing each other. Also look for any branches that are: weak, dead, diseased or damaged. Also you can reduce the height and spread of your tree by cutting back the branches – cut them back to a strong branch.
